Cat Copter: Neither bird nor plane. Actually dead cat.

I’m back! So, what have I missed? Lots of hi-jinks, I’ve no doubt – some cool games, inflammatory sexist remarks and bad men getting shot. Never mind the fact that for an entire month I’ve been staring at New Star Soccer and dribbling though: Look! CAT COPTER!
Cat Copter is a free iOS game built in tribute to a dead cat called Orville. Orville, you might remember from YouTube, is now a radio-controlled helicopter. He’s had four rotors wedged into his paws, and can often be seen hovering above his artist owner in the Netherlands – looking for mice no doubt!
The game sees the cheeky Orvillecopter flying in front of a scenic American vista. He’s a dead cat with mischief on his mind – so cartoon birds must be caught, scurrying mice landed upon and (uh-oh!) bombs to be avoided. Cats hate bombs, almost as much as they hate their bodies being desecrated in the pursuit of artistic endeavour!
Two thumbs down make Orville fly, and your left or right thumb being released will tilt him hither (or thither!). All of which unfortunately means that I can’t give Cat Copter two thumbs up. Which is sad, because this is the best dead cat helicopter game I’ve played all year. And the only one that’s ripped off the Airwolf theme tune.
Normal service will resume tomorrow, unless I find something hilarious about a dead dog.
Cat Copter can be downloaded for free from the App Store. If you’d like you can also pay for other varieties of helicopter when playing the game, but to do that you’d probably be mental.
