So here’s the closing entry in an XBLA Arcade Next month that went slightly saggy in the middle. There’s little, however, that can compete with the return of a downloadable champion like Trials – or the modern phenomenon that is Minecraft. Which is due on the 9th May. That’s next Wednesday!
This is just a brief heads-up, then, that Hookshot Inc (and the rest of the games media) will be going Steve-crazy fairly imminently.
We’ll be running around with a pickaxe like it’s a totally new thing, reaching for a mouse even though we’re sat on a sofa and building some totally incredible shit. (Well, probably a nice house – with the words ‘Look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair.’ in front of it, hewn out of the living rock).
Notch’s fabulous doozer-sim comes out next Wednesday, and in the mean-time there’s a lavish new trailer. Two player split-screen? Wait, four-player split-screen? Hang on, eight player co-op build-a-thons over XBL? Good gravy. I’m off to stack some bricks in the back yard and worry the neighbours. Enjoy!
