You live in your mouth. Martin Amis said that, and anyone who enjoys regular mouth ulcers will know just how right he was. If you don’t have ulcers but you still want an insight into what he’s on about, how about playing Table For One?
Table For One is a sort of first-person eating simulator in which you view the action from, well, inside somebody’s mouth. Your dinner’s in front of you, the controls seem to focus on some form of telekinesis, and I’ve been playing for twenty minutes without getting a single bite. I have made a real mess of things, though.
The game’s part of 7dfps – a challenge in which designers make a first-person shooter in just seven days. I love this one – it makes something we’re all so familiar with feel utterly alien – and I read about it over on freeindiegam.es, which just keeps getting better and better.
