Looking for your next game jam project? Like science? This could be the rapid prototyping event for you! London’s wonderful Science Museum has teamed up with the Pervasive Media Studios in Bristol to run a two-day game jam over October 5-6. Led by “expert bio-medical scientists from the Wellcome Trust” (it says in the press release) the event is bound to have some sort of fascinating scientific theme – and you’ll get to hack away at your keyboard surrounded by the museum’s inspiring exhibits. or in Bristol (the two venues will be linked by a live audio-visual feed, presumably so that entrants will be able to point and blow raspberries at each other from across the country).
It’s free to enter, open to teams or individuals, and the finalists will get their creations shown off at the ExPlay festival in Bath, which runs from 31 October to 2 November.
There’s more information right here.
That is the end of this brief public information broadcast on behalf of game jamming.
