Steam offers From Holland with Love pack

Steam offers From Holland with Love pack
Hands up if you love Holland. Well, that didn't work. Turns out I can't see any of you. I had my hand up though - it makes putting in the apostrophes a lot harder - and I think Valve had its hand up too. Over on Steam, the Midweek Madness sale is offering a From Holland with Love pack - and you should probably go get it.

Hack, Slash, Loot: Fun!

Hack, Slash, Loot: Fun!
Hack, Slash, Loot, is a newish Roguelike that's just turned up on Steam for PC and Mac. It's a pretty streamlined affair, but there's plenty to get stuck into, and with a 40% discount currently in place, you should probably check it out.

Video after the jump!

3SwitcheD brings “unique innovation” to Bejeweled

3SwitcheD brings "unique innovation" to Bejeweled
Finally, someone has answered my prayer. Sadly, they've answered that weird prayer about wanting to play a version of Bejeweled that used face-tracking technology that I must have prayed about while I was heavily sedated. No matter: 3SwitcheD is here, and it's Bejeweled, but with face-tracking technology.

What’s behind… The Scary Door

What's behind... The Scary Door
Hello! I went to the Brighton meeting of the What Would Molydeux game jam over the weekend, mainly to annoy people and trip over cables. It was lots of fun and, unless it's rubbish, I should have a piece about it going up on Eurogamer at some point. In the meantime, I thought I'd highlight one of the games I saw there: one of the games which I sort of witnessed being made.

Offspring Fling Review

Offspring Fling Review
You're going to play Offspring Fling at least twice. Actually, you're going to play it a lot more than that, but twice - to completion - is your absolute minimum.

That's because Kyle Pulver's latest is two games folded into one. First you get the sweet, gently inventive puzzle-platformer, then all of that drops away and you get the cruel, precision-tooled speed runner.

FTL: in space, no one can hear you scheme

Ah, another Kickstarter success story – and this time, it's got nothing to do with a famous developer or the return of a well-known RPG series. This one is about a two-man studio in Shanghai putting together a Roguelike strategy game, in which you fly a spaceship through the galaxy commanding your crew and fighting other craft.

Skar: The Hammer Returns (nothing to do with the '80s MC)

Arriving in autumn this year, Skar: The Hammer Returns is a fantasy role-player, based around Norse mythology.

Judging by the screens we've seen, this is classic dungeon romping stuff, with glowing torches, skeleton warriors and barrels everywhere, no doubt filled with gold pieces.

Hookshot Inc loves Girls Like Robots
Girls Like Robots isn't just a cold hard fact that we had all better start living with. It's a new logic puzzle game by Popcannibal based around seating arrangements. The game isn't out just yet, but we've been messing around with a preview build, and it's lovely.

FRACT: It's pretty, and that's a fract
I am so, so sorry about that headline. Anyway, FRACT is pootling through development, and it continues to look amazing. It's Myst-type game come-back-here-don't-run-away and it has a musical twist.

Hot Shot: Critical Mass

Hot Shot: Critical Mass
Finally, a game with the guts to ask: what would happen if Rubik's Cubes floated around in space and blew up when you started adding new blocks to them? Critical Mass is an interesting spin - ha! - on the old Match Three routine, and it's out right now for PC and Mac.

Where is my Heart? headed to Mac, PC, Linux
Oh man, I've kind of blown everything with that dazzlingly comprehensive headline. The news may not be complicated, but it is at least good to hear. Over on its blog, Die Gute Fabrik has just announced that it's bringing Where is my Heart? to...well, you get the point.

Hot Shot: 1000 Amps

Hot Shot: 1000 Amps
1000 Amps is a beautiful piece of game design. Brandon Brizzi’s latest is a wonderful puzzle platformer that feels like, oh, let’s say Metroid blended into Chip’s Challenge with just the tiniest slice of Minesweeper on top.
