Man. I have a super upsetting story to tell you about Mad Magazine today. Many years ago, when I was just a teenager, there was a girl I deeply, silently loved who went to a nearby school. I won’t say her name because it would be really weird and it’s still too sad. Anyway, I lived in hope that if she ever bumped into me in town I’d be doing something cool. You know, hopefully dangling from the skids of a helicopter, but at the very least thumbing through a battered Penguin Classic and musing about Turgenev.

The only time we did cross paths, I was sitting on a park bench, reading Mad Magazine and eating a banana.

SO: Mad Magazine gave us Spy vs Spy, and Spy vs Spy gave us, um, Spy vs Spy: The Game. It’s a multiplayer classic, it’s never really been bettered, and it’s now coming to iOS soonish, with some not-very-nice art you can toggle on and off and revert to the original. PHEW. Also: online!
